Who is Apfa?

Apfa stands for the Australian Print Finishers Association - an organisation formed in 2002 through the combined efforts of companies that manufacture and supply finishing services to the printing industry. It’s primary objective is to give a voice to this important sector of the printing and packaging industry.

Apfa represents its member companies, through their representatives, from all forms of print finishing services. Full membership is only available to companies whose main source of business is derived from the finishing of print.

Through collective energy Apfa continues to create a new level of awareness for the print finishing industry.

What does Apfa do?

Apfa is a new, energetic and united voice that represents the sector and can convey concerns, ideas and inventiveness to other organisations in the print industry and to the business world in general.

Apfa  members throughout Australia exist predominately for the purpose of providing trade services for the printing industry, it is important therefore that the printing and packaging industry is aware of and understands our sector.

Apfa works towards creating awareness in the designer, print, packaging and buying community in print finishing processes and services.

Apfa sets and maintains standards for the industry through input and discussion from the many and varied facets of the finishing sector.

Apfa will have the collective expertise through its members to facilitate training seminars and workshops for the print finishers, printers, graphic designers, buyers and other training organisations. This will encourage a greater understanding of the wide range of processes and services offered by the print finishing sector. Technical workshops will explain "what we do and how we do it" whilst other workshops will focus on use of the finishing techniques In the marketplace.

Apfa will acknowledge people and businesses in our industry who strive for excellence through an awards system.

Apfa is committed to:
