NewsOn this page we will endeavour to keep you up to date with the Australian Print Finishing Association. We will point out some of the things we hope to achieve and keep you informed as to our general progress. The Apfa Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 22nd June at Kooyong Tennis Centre. The outgoing committee is as follows; President - Mathew Powell, Vice President - Alf Puglia, Treasurer - Wayne Eastaugh, Secretary - Trevor Hone, Committee members - Barry Webster, Graham Wickett and Sigrid de Castella. There are positions vacant on the committee and we would encourage any member to step forward to assist in the coming years developments. Further, this year we open up an addition 2 positions to Associate Members on the committee (no voting rights). FinishFirst - Edition 2 is currently in pre press and will be distributed to members, printers, graphic artists and print buyers. The Apfa recommended Terms & Conditions of Trade is now finalised and available for use by our members. Go to the Downloads page for your copy. Apfa launches updated web site on 26th May incorporating its new corporate logos. The web site is still being expanded and plans to include a comprehensive list of services, print finishing standards and more details on its members are underway. The National Print Awards have finally made recognition for Print Finishers in the 2006 awards program. Several print finishers have finally received the recognition (and certificates) they so richly deserve. The committee would again ask for input from all members.
