Process Requirements & Guidelines:

Please follow the following steps when planning for laminating:

  • Any worksheet must have a minimum of 10mm trims all around
  • All jobs must be free of excessive spray powder – always remember to de-dust
  • Always send a marked up and ruled up sheet stapled to your purchase order
  • Always mark up your grip and lay edges

The following colours can change over time due to unstable pigments, solids and/or solvents. Allowing your job to dry for at least 48 hours will help minimise any potential colour change.

-Pantone Rhodamine ‘Red’
-Pantone Reflex Blue
-Pantone Purple
-Pantone Violet
-Pantone Warm Red
-Victoria Blue
-Methyl Violet

We suggest that colours like ‘Reflex Blue’ be made up of process colours to minimise the chance of colour change, where possible.

Your ink manufacturer should be able to supply you with similar information or a technical data sheet.

If a job is to be laminated one side only, where the job is to be printed on both sides, it is best to print the side to be laminated last. This gives the ink on the non-laminated side more time to harden.

While every effort is made to ensure all jobs run smoothly, we cannot determine a printer’s ink stability at time of lamination. Even with the best QA standards available, the job may pass through our plant and leave totally perfect, but at some point afterwards, instances of set-off or ‘blocking’ can occur where we have no control over.

Unless otherwise informed on your purchase order, we assume that allprintwork presented to us for lamination or other process is 100% ready to go.

Where possible, please provide after hours contact information for night shift operators.

When printing on self-adhesive stocks or stocks of 150gsm or less, please print more overs than usual to help minimise any finished quantity shortages.
